MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY

Mechanical assembly is one of the most important industries in Vietnam because its products can be found in a wide range of other industries, from automotive manufacturing and shipbuilding to food and animal feed. In recent years, Vietnam's industrial production has been increasingly maturing thanks to the wave of investment from foreign companies. The rapid increase in the number of production facilities and factories has led to a growing demand for production lines.

Due to many technological limitations, Vietnam depends on foreign markets and imports more than 70% of the machinery and equipment used in production. The consumer goods manufacturing industry includes Textiles - Garments, footwear, plastics, Porcelain - Ceramics - Glass; the consumer goods manufacturing industry group comprises many different sectors, diverse in products and complex in technological processes.

The consumer goods manufacturing industry is an important and indispensable sector in the industrial system of every country because it creates many types of common goods serving primarily the daily life of all classes of people. Furthermore, it also possesses export value if the products satisfy the requirements of the external market.

LIGHT INDUSTRY 

The development of light industry has a direct significance in improving living standards, promoting export activities, accelerating accumulation, requiring less investment capital, and recovering capital faster than heavy industry. Generally speaking, items belonging to light industry are mainly consumer product technologies in daily life. Currently, light industry holds a particularly important position in our lives. This is because it is an industry that is less capital-intensive than heavy industry, and leans more toward providing consumer goods rather than serving businesses.

ELECTRONICS 

In Vietnam, electronics manufacturing facilities are concentrated in several provinces and cities. Ho Chi Minh City was an early attractor of companies in this field with Intel and Samsung, followed shortly after by Nidec and Jabil. However, northern provinces and cities around Hanoi are the places attracting the largest investment capital. Recently, many businesses have been attracted to invest in the port city of Hai Phong and the coastal province of Quang Ninh. With their location close to other electronics manufacturing clusters, possession of deep-water ports, and expressways connecting to China's electronics hub of Shenzhen, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh are becoming increasingly attractive to high-tech manufacturing enterprises.
